            Tools Needed:

  • 2 Flat-Head Screwdrivers

  • 1 Phillips-Head Screwdriver

  • 2 Tire Levers

  • Solution of Soapy Water

Remove the wheel from the bike

Completely deflate the tire

Remove tire and air tube

Installation is best done with two people.

Press the first bead of the tire onto wheel rim. Spray soapy solution (dish soap works) on all surfaces. Press tube into tire. The tube will appear to be too large, but its necessary to fill the tire.

Insert the Phillips head screwdriver into the valve stem hole to form an anchor point. Use the two flat head screwdrivers to lever soapy tube into rim cavity.

Note: Do not use excessive force, as the rim could be damaged. Do not attempt to install both tube and second tire bead in one step.

Use the two flat head screwdrivers to alternately insert and pry the second tire bead onto rim. Continue to apply soapy solution. Inspect both sides of rim for proper appearance of tire. Clean rim and apply the reflective valve-hole cover to prevent moisture from collecting inside your tire.
